Hodophobia is an intense, persistent, and irrational fear of travel or a specific mode of travel. Derived from the Greek words for "road" or "journey" and "fear," it is characterized by distress or avoidance that is disproportionate to the actual danger involved. Unlike generalized travel anxiety, it is classified as a specific phobia.
