Hindu philosophy
Topic
Hindu philosophy, also known as Vedic philosophy, refers to the diverse philosophical systems that developed alongside Hindu religious traditions in ancient and classical India. Traditionally categorized into six orthodox (astika) schools—Samkhya, Yoga, Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Mimamsa, and Vedanta—it explores fundamental concepts such as dharma, karma, samsara, and moksha. These systems, collectively referred to as Darshana, emphasize different viewpoints and paths toward spiritual realization and ultimate truth.
