Hebrews, also called the Epistle to the Hebrews, is a New Testament book presenting Jesus as the superior high priest and mediator of a new covenant. It draws on Israelite scripture and religious traditions to encourage its audience to remain faithful; its author is unknown, though it was historically attributed to Paul.
