Topic

Heat stress is the net heat load to which the body is exposed from the combined contributions of metabolic heat, environmental factors (such as temperature, humidity, and wind), and clothing. When the body is unable to cool itself sufficiently, heat stress can lead to heat-related illnesses ranging from mild heat cramps and heat exhaustion to life-threatening heat stroke.
