A grill, also known as grills, grillz, or fronts, is a type of dental jewelry worn over the teeth. Typically made of precious metals like gold, silver, or platinum and sometimes inlaid with gemstones, they are generally removable but can also be permanently attached. Grills were popularized by hip-hop artists in the early 1980s and became a mainstream pop culture phenomenon by the mid-2000s.
