The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) is the international self-regulatory governing body for association football, futsal, and beach soccer. Founded in 1904 and headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, it is responsible for the organization and promotion of major international football tournaments, most notably the FIFA World Cup.
