Extrasensory perception
Topic
Extrasensory perception (ESP), commonly referred to as a sixth sense, is a claimed paranormal ability to acquire information independently of the recognized physical senses. Adopted by parapsychologist J. B. Rhine, the term encompasses various psychic phenomena such as telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, and retrocognition. Despite widespread popular interest, ESP is generally considered a pseudoscience by the scientific community due to a lack of empirical evidence.
