Europeans, or European people, is an umbrella term for people who belong to any ethnic, racial, or national group with origins in Europe. Today, the term primarily refers to people who reside on the European continent, as well as the global European diaspora. By extension, it is also used to identify populations of European ancestry who constitute majorities in countries across the Americas and Oceania.
