The East Village is a neighborhood on the East Side of Lower Manhattan in New York City, roughly bounded by the Bowery and Third Avenue to the west, 14th Street to the north, and Houston Street to the south. It includes the subsections of Alphabet City, Little Ukraine, and the Bowery, and is known for its diverse cultural and architectural history.
