Dynamic random-access memory

Topic

Dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) is a type of random-access semiconductor memory that stores each bit of data in a separate memory cell. Each cell typically consists of a microscopic capacitor and a transistor based on metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) technology. Because the capacitors slowly lose their charge, the data must be periodically refreshed to prevent data loss.
