The Dresden Codex is a pre-Columbian Maya folding book originating from the region of Chichén Itzá in Mexico. Dating to approximately the 11th or 12th century, it contains Maya hieroglyphic and pictorial material concerning astronomy, calendrical calculations, rituals, and divination; it is now held by the Saxon State Library in Dresden, Germany.
