The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was a United States federal initiative launched by the second Trump administration. Established by executive order in January 2025 and led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, its primary objective was to modernize information technology, maximize productivity, and reduce waste within the federal government.
