In physics, curved spacetime is the mathematical model in which gravity naturally arises as a consequence of the geometry of space and time, rather than as a fundamental force. Described by Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity, objects in this framework move along geodesics, which are curved paths determined by the local geometry of spacetime.
