Croatia, officially the Republic of Croatia, is a country in Central and Southeastern Europe on the Adriatic Sea. It borders Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, and has a maritime border with Italy; its capital and largest city is Zagreb. The country includes a long Adriatic coastline and an archipelago of more than 1,000 islands and islets.
