Clindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic medication used to treat various bacterial infections, including bone or joint infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, pneumonia, and endocarditis. It is also commonly used topically for acne and can be effective against certain methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains.
