Christian Science churches are local congregations of the Church of Christ, Scientist, a Christian religious movement founded in Boston in 1879 by Mary Baker Eddy. They conduct worship services, Sunday Schools, and other activities centered on the Bible and Christian Science teachings, including spiritual healing through prayer.
