In Newtonian mechanics, centrifugal force is an inertial or fictitious force that appears to act on all objects when viewed from a rotating frame of reference. It is directed radially outward from the axis of rotation and is proportional to the object's mass, its distance from the axis, and the square of the angular velocity of the frame.
