The California Energy Commission (CEC), formally the Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission, is California’s primary energy policy and planning agency. It develops energy policy, supports the state’s clean-energy transition, and oversees programs related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, transportation electrification, and energy infrastructure.
