Byron Bay (Minjungbal: Cavvanbah) is a beachside town in the far-northeastern corner of New South Wales, Australia, on Bundjalung Country. Located near Cape Byron—the easternmost point of mainland Australia—it lies about 772 km north of Sydney and 165 km south of Brisbane, and is the largest town in Byron Shire.
