Brown University Health, formerly known as Lifespan, is Rhode Island's first and largest non-profit hospital and healthcare system. Founded in 1994, the system includes major partners such as Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children's Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, and Newport Hospital. It serves as the principal teaching hospital affiliate for the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
