Ben Rein is a neuroscientist, author, and science communicator whose research focuses on the biology of social behavior, including empathy and social connection. He is the chief science officer of the Mind Science Foundation, head of science communication at ResearchHub, and an adjunct lecturer at Stanford University. He is the author of *Why Brains Need Friends*.
