BASE jumping is an extreme sport that involves jumping from fixed objects and using a parachute to safely descend to the ground. The name is an acronym representing the four categories of objects from which participants jump: buildings, antennas, spans (bridges), and earth (cliffs). It is widely considered one of the most dangerous recreational activities in the world.
