AlphaGo Zero is a version of DeepMind's Go-playing AI that achieved superhuman performance by learning entirely through self-play without human data. It was introduced in the 2017 Nature paper "Mastering the game of Go without human knowledge" and surpassed all previous versions of AlphaGo within 40 days.
