Alexandrina Victoria was Queen of the United Kingdom from 1837 to 1901 and Empress of India from 1876. Her reign, the Victorian era, saw the British Empire reach its height as a global industrial and colonial power. She was the last monarch of the House of Hanover and was famously devoted to her husband, Prince Albert.
