    just because we have a fixed number, relatively fixed number of cells, doesn't mean that we can't change the connections between those cells. And that's happening all the time.

    I don't think we'd want the plasticity of an infant. Even though when you're doing, let's say, language learning, you say, oh, I wish I could learn this as well as I did when I was seven, but generally it's not a state that you would desire.
