Personal responsibility, also known as individual or moral responsibility, is the idea that human beings choose, instigate, or otherwise cause their own actions and are therefore accountable for them. In philosophy and ethics, it represents the status of morally deserving praise, blame, reward, or punishment for one's acts or omissions.
