An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft that operates without a human pilot, crew, or passengers on board. These aircraft are either controlled remotely by a human operator or fly autonomously using onboard computers and sensors. Originally developed for military missions, drones have expanded into numerous civilian applications, including aerial photography, agriculture, and scientific research.
