Immunosuppressants, also known as immunosuppressive drugs or antirejection medications, are agents that inhibit or prevent the activity of the immune system. They are primarily used to prevent the rejection of transplanted organs and tissues, as well as to treat autoimmune diseases and certain non-autoimmune inflammatory diseases.
