The brief
Bill Simmons, J. Kyle Mann, Chris Ryan, and Van Lathan survey the Eastern Conference through one pivotal player per team, weighing development, contracts, coaching, and playoff ceilings.
The NBA discussion finds Boston’s Paul George fit compelling but fragile, Toronto’s versatile young core promising, and several contenders exposed by health, spacing, or expensive roster construction.
A cable-and-streaming Hall of Fame debate leads into “Digger,” where the hosts question whether Tom Cruise’s invincible-star persona now overwhelms the vulnerability his late career needs.

Possible sanctions range from points deductions to expulsion or a forced sale, but every remedy risks damaging competitive balance, the club, Manchester, and the Premier League.
